Camvio is an early stage, high growth startup with extensive real world traction, disrupting the global smart & precision farming market.

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to guide our development team into the new era of digital environments to join a vibrant, focused and technically minded team. This role combines leadership with deep technical expertise to drive the development of our precision agriculture platform. Positioned in our Athens hub, this opportunity calls for a visionary with a robust technical background and a passion for developing pioneering solutions and offers a clear path to CTO and membership in our core management team.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, inspire & recruit a team of developers in designing and executing an innovative precision agriculture platform.
• Architect scalable and efficient solutions using technologies as Microservices, Django and Kubernetes, ensuring they align with our ambitious platform goals.
• Foster a culture of excellence in coding, problem-solving, and project management within the team.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of various technologies and platforms.
• Drive the evolution of our precision agriculture platform, maintaining a balance between cutting-edge innovation and practical application.

Qualifications:

• Passion about building new things & navigating uncharted territories in the digital realm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with proven track record in software development and significant industry experience in a leadership role managing software engineering teams. (minimum 5+ years)
• Strong foundation in both front-end and back-end development, with an emphasis on creating engaging user experiences.
• Experience in Agile methodologies, with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of leading diverse and geographically dispersed teams.

Nice to have – but not required:

• Familiarity with the Digital smart & precision Farming ecosystem
• Experience in developing, training & fine-tuning AI/ML models & leveraging Computer Vision Algorithms
• Previous startup experience
• Advanced degree (M.Sc., Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
